Kira
Tuxedo domestic shorthair, female, 10 months
Kira is a highly intelligent but shy girl, who enjoys long sessions of play and is very acrobatic, finding new and imaginative way of contorting her body to achieve her goals. While she is full of energy, loves to play and love giving and receiving affection from other cats, she like to get the lay of the land before she commits to new adventures, carefully thinking out how things work and who and what can be trusted. Kira is always up for a good game of chasey around the house with other cats. As such, she can come across a bit shy and reserved at first, but afterwards she is the life of the party and expends lots of energy.
As a former street cat, she is a little apprehensive at seeking petting and physical affection from people, but she has no aggression at all towards people (choosing to retreat to another location when initially patted) and actually loves getting petting and cuddles when she finally drops her guard. She has a sweetness inside, which is evident when you do get to cuddle her, and even when she approaches to sniff you han she wants to seek attention but is still learning. She is never aggressive.
She absolutely loves playing with other cats, and even loves to groom and sleep alongside other cats. She is also quick to warm up to other cats, as she sees them as her equal and not big and scary like some people.
Kira would be a perfect match for a young household without children but who have another cat she can play with, and who are not looking for a cat to be their whole world, but who love the entertainment a cat can bring and the patience to let her become more confident in approaching people for hugs and petting.
Christine
Domestic shorthair, female, 8 months
Christine is an adventurous cat who loves to explore and investigate everything around her. She especially loves interacting with her peoples and will follow you anywhere in order to be close to the action. She will play with anything of intrigue, including pens, bottle lids and various other household items. She loves to climb up onto people’s shoulders to explore the world from a new height, and will happily use you as a table to get from one spot to another. She has quite a bit of energy and loves to run around exploring and playing, but balances it out with lots of sleepy time.
Christine is one of the most affectionate kittens you will ever come across. She loves her pats, and especially cuddles. She loves to fall asleep on your side or lap, snuggled up to your legs, and even just on the bed where you usually sleep at night. She loves to sleep for hours laying pressed up against you and, given the chance, will cuddle up to you. She will even put her paw in your hand when she is particularly comfortable, so you can gently pat it. This is a kitten with lots of love to give.
Christine’s ideal match would most likely be a household with lots of time available to shower her with affection and cuddles, and with other pets that she can spend time playing with and burning off her excess energy.
Kylie
Domestic shorthair, female, 6 months
Kylie is a at who is inquisitive about everything, spending lots of time exploring her environment and looking out of windows and doors. She is also quick to learn new skills. She loves finding new high vantage points to rest and view the movements of everyone around her until she falls asleep. If any bugs come into her environment, she loves to chase them.
Kylie also likes to initiate games and play-fights with her fellow cats, although she can often bite off more than she can chew and will be very vocal about it. But when all is said and done, she will go back for more every time. Be aware that if she gets worked up and approaches you, it may be to have a play with your hand, not to accept petting, and she is still learning to retract her claws when she is playing with people. All this said, she is very entertaining to be around.
Being quite independent, she loves to interact with people on her own terms. As such, she will spend most of her time on her own or with other cats. However, she is a very affectionate cat, enjoying grooming and snuggling with other pets, and she will come seeking lots of pats and some cuddles on a daily basis.
Kylie’s ideal match would most likely be a household with other cats or animals whom she can groom and play with. She would thrive in a household where patting is available when she wants it, but where people are also just as happy to sit back and watch her many adventures.
